Attention all writers! Are you interested in learning tips and tricks for local writing across a variety of platforms? Distinguished Los Angeles Times arts columnist and journalist Carolina A. Miranda will be delivering the 14th annual AICA-USA Distinguished Critic Lecture in partnership with the VLC on November 10th via Zoom. 

Miranda is a staff writer for the LA Times where she covers the lively city’s culture and delves into all aspects of art that the city of angels has to offer. In this lecture, she will share her experiences as an art journalist in a big city and what it means to go local. This lecture is sure to be engaging as Miranda has a long list of experience under her belt, including winning a Rabkin Prize in Visual Arts Journalism and writing for publications such as Time, ARTnews, Architect, Art in America, and radio experience on NPR’s All Things Considered.
