You're Invited: Chittenden Zone IdeaJam to be held Nov. 17

Calling all musicians, visual artists, sculptors, specialty chefs, performers, writers, cinematographers, culturists, and anyone else who makes art! Vermont’s creative sector matters. How do you think we can improve and advance it in the coming years? Come “jam” with other creatives from our region on strategies and action ideas for the Vermont Creative Network.

Vermont art-makers and art-enjoyers are coming together on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 12:00-1:00 PM, and we want you there! Register here for free to attend this event.

The Vermont Creative Network is completing its first action plan this fall and is hosting a series of “IdeaJams” to help shape it. Join us for a fast-paced conversation about our vision for Vermont’s creative sector and how we get there. Come at 11:30 for an optional 30-minute “speed networking” session if you’d like to network with others around the state. At 12, we’ll dive into a short presentation and breakout conversations by zone. VCN is raffling off three more $25 gift cards to attendees, so don’t miss out!

You can read more about the first segment of this event, FutureJam, which took place virtually on October 6, on Big Heavy World’s spotlight article here.

If you participate in or enjoy Vermont’s music and art scene, your input is valuable and desired at this event. Let us know what you think Vermont should be looking out for during COVID-19 and in the months to come! Even if you can’t attend this event, you can share ideas online here.

Learn more about the VCN action planning process, and see artwork and results at createvt.org. Save the date for two more upcoming events -- an IdeaJam on Strategies (Dec. 1) and the final celebration and action planning “Jamboree” on Dec. 15.

The Vermont Creative Network is a broad collective of organizations, businesses, and individuals working to advance Vermont’s creative sector. Authorized by the Vermont Legislature in 2016, it is a program of the Vermont Arts Council.
