RICHARD BAILEY AND BANDS ON WRUV 90.1 FRIDAY MORNING Richard Bailey (City Administrator for 242 Main), will be on the Howie Rose Show this Friday with DJ F.P. Cassini, spreading the love and spreading the word about 242 Main, Burlington's loudest youth center - WRUV 90.1FM (University of Vermont, http://www.uvm.edu/~wruv), at 9:30am. Expect bands from the 242.01 benefit CD to join them (Bazookas, Ninja Death Squad, & Torsion!), and call in to join the conversation, (802) 656-4399.

UPCOMING BHW NETCASTS If you can't come out to play Friday and Saturday when ten bands perform at the 242.01 CD release party you can still tune in to the audio broadcast at Big Heavy World: http://www.bigheavyworld.com/streamery.html. For a list of bands see the info about the release party (go up to the top of the newzrag you crazy fool, can't believe you missed it!).

WELCOME MANU AND SANDRA TO THE BHW CREW Manu Sachdeeva is at full-throttle as BHW's broadcasting boss, coordinating the live netcasts you find at http://www.bigheavyworld.com/streamery.html. He's gunning to keep Jesse and Mark running around like headless chickens every weekend streaming Burlington music online from the heart of the city. Sandra McKernan joins us as the Goddess of task management, our new (utterly dominating) Office Manager... though the plants she waters in our dinky sweatshop think of her in less threatened terms. :)

EGAN MEDIA OPEN HOUSE = 4 HOUR RECORDING SESSION GIVEAWAY Get to the Egan Media Productions Fall Open House, Thursday, November 1st from 6 until 9 pm. STICKER JIM'S SORRY-ASS TRUCK If you happen to be walking by a red Toyota pickup in downtown Burlington with Vermont plate #ANF516 and you're carrying a manbag full of your band's stickers, slap one on the ass-end. Why? Dunno, can't tell you. But Jim & Victoria won't mind. Really. Just make sure you got the right truck...

BHW SERVER MAINTENANCE SUNDAY 10/21 The BHW Web site will be offline Sunday, October 21 in the A.M. for a server upgrade. We'll give you the details next time 'round, but hang loose during the upgrade and in a few weeks we'll do our best to amaze you with some new additions to the site.

BHW THANKS Thanx to Burlington City Arts for letting us poster the Firehouse Gallery barricade for the 242.01 CD release party. It's off-limits usually, but they're lending support this way. Very cool of Sara and the crew. Thanks to Dave Bishop and the bands and volunteers who helped us poster and flyer for the 242.01 CD Release party!!!
