The Art of Connection: Inclusive Practices in Changing Times

abstract-2468874_1920.jpg

Join Inclusive Arts Vermont for an online workshop designed to provide artists and arts administrators with a foundation of understanding on inclusive practices that can benefit students with disabilities, support students experiencing stress, and address multiple learning styles. This will be an opportunity for teaching artists to discuss and deepen their practice in the time of COVID-19.

Participants will explore the possibilities each student brings through a process-focused approach that cultivates safety, belonging, and engagement. The relationship between social and emotional skills and art making as a process will be highlighted with attention given to self-care practices for the adults. The webinar will conclude with time and space for teaching artists to reflect upon their own practice moving forward. All will be invited to share ideas, questions, and considerations with one another in the spirit of collaboration and community.

Choose from one of three 90 minute sessions:
• Monday, 6/29, 9:00-10:30 AM
• Tuesday, 6/30, 10:00-11:30 AM
