Village Harmony Virtual Teen Week 1

As have so many arts organizations across the globe, Village Harmony has regretfully had to cancel all summer 2020 in-person programs due to the global pandemic.

We are, however, thrilled to announce that registration for a full line-up of summer 2020 online programming for teens and adults is now open—with six 6-day sessions and one 3-day half-session scheduled from mid-June through the end of July for you to choose from.

These radically inventive song-learning sessions will include pre-recorded teaching tracks, in-time Zoom sessions for meeting, socializing and direct teaching from the instructors, opportunities for one-on-one coaching, daily recording & uploading assignments, a zoom talent show, cultural/explorative classes (think cooking lessons, language study, virtual city tours & mushroom-hunting) and more.

Each of these interactive courses will culminate with a "concert" of end-of-camp virtual choir recordings and video. This will be immersion in a uniquely Village Harmony way—with a new twist, as singers from anywhere around the world can participate from the comfort of their own homes.

We realize that this pandemic has had an uneven financial impact on families. Fees have been set at a level needed to support our faculty, but we are nonetheless offering a tier of self-selected reduced price options for those who need them. Singers signing up for more than one session should also feel free to choose a lower tuition level for their added programs.

Each virtual week will begin on a Monday and finish the following Saturday. New teaching material will download to the site on a daily basis, allowing access on your own schedule. Interactive teaching classes will be recorded and uploaded for review and for anyone who misses a live session. Much of the teaching material will also be downloadable, making each course an invaluable source of new repertoire for choral conductors and music teachers.
