The Window on Main, Coming to a Sidewalk Near You

Hey, Burlington musicians: when was the last time you played a paid, live gig? If you’re scratching your head trying to think back to March or February, so are we. Fortunately, the Flynn Theater is hosting a live, multi-media performance series that is a paid gig opportunity for artists and a classic way to participate in the community and hear some good music. This series has been dubbed The Window on Main since artists will be performing inside the Chase Studio while the audience watches and listens to an audio stream from the Main Street window.

The Window on Main will take place at the Flynn Theater over two weekends, December 11-13 and December 18-20. Each performer will have a one-hour time slot, which allows for about twenty minutes of setup, forty minutes of performance, and a rotating cast of artists.

This performance series welcomes artists from all types of performing art: musicians, actors, dancers, and performers of all kinds are encouraged to apply. However, the series will only be accepting groups of solo artists, duos, or trios to comply with state-mandated coronavirus protection protocol. If you’re interested in performing in this series, click here to complete the application.

This event will enforce all state-mandated safety protocols outside the Chase Studio and in the surrounding area. These include wearing a mask and physically distancing. To find out more about this event, you can contact Madeline Bell at mbell@flynncenter.org
