Center for Technology, Essex and Bond Auto Give Big Heavy Demo Derby Car LUV.

The Big Heavy World demolition derby car, a 1978 Chevy Nova donated by Burnett Scrap Metals, has a new temporary home at the Center for Technology, Essex. Students there will be turning it into two tons of fang-gnashing alpha carnivore under the guidance of Dan Clark of the Automotive Technologies program. Bond Auto is pitching in with a generous donation of parts, and Ben Emmons at Bee There Towing has been our go-to for getting the car where it needs to go. Our demolition derby family is getting bigger. Turns out nice people like to smash stuff, too.
