I just got back from local music internet radio show number 30 on WBKM.ORG. It seemed that in every break, what I was about to say, slipped out of my head. Maybe it’s a sign that I need a week off.
Song before: Mad As The Mist And Snow – The Waterboys

Intro
From our small city to the great big world, these are the Sounds Of Burlington. It’s been warm and sunny for the last couple of days. The nights have been chilly, but still nice for walking. Here is the next song on Swale‘s A Small Arrival. This is Overcoat on WBKM, and this is Burlington’s kind of music.
1.) Overcoat – Swale 2.) Tell Me – Linda Bassick 3.) Johnson Unit Talkin’ Blues – Satori Bob 4.) Leonard Cohen – Violette Ultraviolet
On Saturday a bunch of local musicians are playing Leonard Cohen songs at Radio Bean. I’m not sure if VU will be there, but wanted to play the song. Satori are on the opposite coast, but that song has a Cohen sort of feel. It’s cool that both coasts are thinking the same way. Linda plays the Bean on Friday mornings, bring your kids if you get a chance. Hmmm, Swale. Last Sunday at the punk show at the Bean, they added Hana Zara at 8 and a band from Maine called Old Soul in between. Their songs just made me feel happy.
5.) Home – Old Soul 6.) Traveling Time – Born Naked 7.) In The Pines – Vedora
I just saw Vedora at Red Square. They played a ton of new songs, and they did play Pines. It’s great to see them again! A long time ago David L. Jarvis created a label called Permanent Records. It wasn’t, but did put out the CD by New Hampshire’s Born Naked. Tomorrow I’m heading to 242 Main to catch Poxy and Be Aggressive. I have a song from each of them coming up, but will start with the band I saw last night.
8.) The Eldridge – Cameo Harlot 9.) Be Aggressive – Be Aggressive 10.) Rot In Hell – Poxy 11.) Black and Red – Rough Francis
I had such a good time at the punk show Sunday at the Bean. I hope I have as much fun at 242 tomorrow. Last night was great with Cameo at the Monkey. OK, let’s go classic Burlington.
12.) Drug Me Up – Ninja Custodian 13.) Lines and Spaces (live) – The Cancer Conspiracy
That was two of the great classic Burlington bands. I hope you enjoyed checking out the music of our town. Let’s do it again next, well actually, I will be off next week. I’m going to Albany to see the Waterboys. Let’s do it the week after, and the week after, and the week after……
