Heloise Williams of Heloise & The Savoir Faire got pumped with us on 'Rocket Shop' on Wednesday 5/18/11 for their upcoming performance along with Rustic Overtones, Waylon Speed, Casio Bastard, Pariah Beat, Japhy Ryder and Radiator DJ Jah Red at Heavyfest, coming up this Saturday, May 21st at the Magic Hat Brewery in South Burlington, Vermont. The public is invited from 12-5 P.M. to enjoy free live music, brewery tours and tastings, and an outdoor BBQ and beer garden featuring Big Heavy Wheat beer especially brewed by Magic Hat for the occasion. Event proceeds will benefit Big Heavy World.
The seeds of high energy disco rock collaborative Heloise and The Savoir Faire were planted in Vermont after Heloise Williams graduated from Middlebury College. Heloise went on to tour extensively as part of Viperhouse, a 10-piece Vermont Acid Jazz group. When the band dissolved, Heloise moved to New York City and began performing her own tracks "karaoke-style" with a laptop and dancer friends Joe Shepard and Sara Sweet Rabidoux.
"It was all very experimental, but I knew I wanted to add a live rhythm section to what we were doing. I ended up asking some musician friends like our drummer Luke Hughett, and my boyfriend slash guitarist, James Bellizia if they'd be up for it. You know, it can be strange to ask a band to play live on top of another track but everyone was down and I enjoyed the overlapping the recording and live sound effects." With the addition of Jason Diamond on bass, Heloise & The Savoir Faire entered its current formation as a live music and dance act. Next came 'Trash, Rats, and Microphones,' a disc the band has enjoyed promoting and touring to audiences around the United States and Europe since it's 2008 release.
As of late, Heloise The Savoir Faire are on hiatus from their highly energetic and theatrical shows. They've directed their focus on finishing their newest studio album, expected to release later this year. "Our live shows are very conceptual, we always go for some weird, crazy ideas or costumes. But I have to focus on finishing the new record before I can fully commit to the live shows." Said live shows were described by Disorder Magazine as "a multi-orgasmic experience with heels on."

Helosie and the band jumped at the opportunity to play Heavyfest and support Big Heavy World: "We're psyched! It should be a really fun show and a great way on stage with new songs again." Expect sass, energy, and good times from Heloise and The Savoir Faire and all the incredible bands set to play this Saturday, May 21st at Heavyfest. Come party with us while supporting Big Heavy World!
