Burlington's own singer/songwriter Joe Adler graced the Radiator airwaves with his fantastic guitar and singing skills. His folksy, lyric-driven tunes make Joe a staple in the Burlington musical scene. I got a chance to talk with Joe as he warmed up.  After serenading  the Big Heavy Crew with "The Curvature of Your Body,"  a tune Joe described as "a weird newer song that sort-of crawled out my soul," I was sold.

See Joe for yourself, doing his thing every Thursday night at Parima. Burgundy Thursdays are for "kicking back, having a drink, and playing guitar. We've got a really special thing going on. The rest of the week, it's business."  For specific information on the Burgundy Thursday series with Joe Adler at Parima, visit their website at http://www.parimathai.com

Outside of Parima and its enchanted woodwork, Joe is a busy man with several upcoming gigs.  First, catch him at The Half Lounge for their Americana Songwriters Night on February 15th. Joe will also be opening for Bobby Long at Higher Ground on February 24th. Hit up http://www.highergroundmusic.com for tickets, on sale now.

In closing, Joe echoed the feeling of so many 802 music lovers: "Were so blessed to live in Burlington, where any night of the week you can see great blues, indie, anything, for free or only five bucks." Cheers to that, Joe!

Rocket Shop is Big Heavy World's local music radio hour, every Wednesday from 8-9 p.m. on 105.9 FM The Radiator and streaming at theradiator.org
