The Summer Of Taste is Here!

Eames Brothers Big Heavy World and The Radiator 105.9 WOMM-LP are proud media sponsors of The Summer of Taste series, every Thursday at the Intervale Center. Each Thursday throughout the summer, The Intervale Center will be host to Slow Food Vermont tastings, tours of the center, and live music. At 5:30 each week, there will be taste testings available to all guests. All the restaurants are local, and include American Flatbread, Bluebird Tavern, The Skinny Pancake, Sugarsnap, and Nomadic Oven. Each will bring samples for guests to try and sample the local fare. Following the tastings at 5:45 tours of the center will be given. The tours vary by week, ranging from a general introduction to The Intervale, Beekeeping that occurs at The Intervale, the Conservatory Nursery Field and greenhouses, and much more. These tours are for all ages, and are meant to help others learn exactly what The Intervale does, and their conservatory methods to help the environment.

New exciting music acts will play each week, starting at 6:30. These musical acts include Phineas Gage, the Eames Brothers, Left Ear Trio, and many more. On July 22nd, the Intervale will feature a special musical performance.  Instead of just a musical artist, they will be hosting an open mic night for anyone who wishes to perform.

Tickets for adults cost just $5 each week, and all children are free. Season passes for all eight weeks are also available for just $35. The Intervale is located at the Calkins Community Barn, 180 Intervale Road. For more information, call 660-0440 extension 101, or visit www.intervale.org to see the full schedule of events for each week and sponsor updates. This will be a great time that will be fun for the whole family.
