First NIght Artists on The Radiator All Month Long
This winter Big Heavy World's 'Rocket Shop' Local Music Radio Hour teams up with First Night Burlington to bring you a tasty sneak preview of what is in store on December 31st. Big Heavy World’s very own Kelsey Hanrahan and Jim Lockridge host the Wednesday 8-9pm show that features Vermont music and the musicians that create it. Tune in to WOMM-LP 105.9 FM for a First Night Burlington showcase every Wednesday from 8-9pm. Last month Steve Hartmann rocked us with his passionate acoustic performance. This month we’ve already heard hobo ballads and Vermont songs of friendship and peace from our friends Rik and Bec. Rebecca Padula and Rik Palieri kill it with complimentary vocals and lively instrumentation. Last week's performances by Mia Adams (of the Scenic Roots) and Chris Abair warmed our ears and hearts. Prepare yourself for December’s line-up with performances by Katie Trautz (of Mayfly) and The Tammy Fletcher Band on December 9th, musician, poet & story teller Alan Greenleaf & The Doctor on December 16th, a special Tuesday 'Rocket Shop' hosted by Alaina Janack featuring the Starline Rhythm Boys, Va-et-Vient on the 23rd, culminating on December 30th, with Red Hot Juba as well as Kevin Greenblott.
