Thursdays at the Intervale are Back!
Beginning July 9, Big Heavy World and the Radiator 105.9 WOMM-LP are proud to once again sponsor Thursdays at the Intervale! Every Thursday from June 9 to August 27 will include an evening of live music, American Flatbread, Zero Gravity beer, fun kids activities, and farm-food related programs. This summer's theme is 'A Summer of Taste,' so there will be a tasting every week of local Vermont-grown products including carrots, heirloom tomatoes, cheese, beer, wine, heritage chickens and pork and heirloom apples!
The July 9 kickoff event will include a Slow Food Vermont tasting of carrots and a 'Summer of Taste' kickoff panel discussing "Why taste is important" with local farmers, chefs and Slow Food Vermont. Beginning at 6:30 pm, there will be an Abenaki traditional garden presentation, followed by an Abenaki Circle of Courage Youth Dancers at 6:45 pm. The evening will conclude with a community open-mic beginning at 7:30pm. A pre-sign up is required by calling (802) 999-5831.
