Helen Day Art Center Exhibit Includes Stultz Portrait of "Big Heavy Jim"
The Spring issue of Vermont Life included a short article by Susan Keese about Jim Lockridge, co-founder of Big Heavy World and WOMM-LP The Radiator, and a photo of Jim in the as-yet unbuilt (but brightly painted!) Radiator studio. Photographer Natalie Stultz took the photo during a shoot at the Big Heavy World office, and it's now showing as part of the 'We Are Vermont: Contemporary Portraits in Photography, Vermont People by Vermont Photographers' exhibit at the Helen Day Art Center, School Street in Stowe, Vermont.
The show opened Friday, January 25 and is packed with amazing images of Vermonters by seven great photographers: Kevin Bubriski; Caleb Kenna; Andrew Kline; hRose McNulty; Peter Miller; Abby Ross; Peter Crabtree, Jamie Cope, Glenn Callahan, and Natalie Stultz. The exhibit will be open through March 22. For more information about the show, call the Helen Day Art Center at (802) 255-8358.
