WOMM-LP 105.9FM 'The Radiator' and WOMR (OuterMost community Radio) 92.1FM, located in Provincetown, Massachusetts, have become sister radio stations. Both are community-programmed, noncommercial and locally-oriented. WOMR broadcasts at 6,000 Watts to the Cape Cod area from a historic schoolhouse studio in Provincetown. WOMM-LP broadcasts at 100 Watts from the Big Heavy World offices in downtown Burlington, VT to Burlington, Shelburne, Williston, and Essex audiences. Provincetown has America's deepest creative roots as the location of of the First Art Colony in the United States and the birthplace of modern American theater. Surrounded on three sides by water, and with a culturally diverse population, Provincetown has many parallels to Burlington. Radiator co-founder Jim Lockridge has visited the WOMR studios and with WOMR Executive Director Dave Myers looks forward to the adventures this cross-community open door might offer, including potential programming swaps, event touring, and station crew visits.
