Jabe Ledoux (1980) is a fat queer sound preparer/improviser/percussionist currently based in Vergennes, VT. Ledoux uses repetition, found sound, and poly-rhythm to create "gratingly meditative" pieces that explore fatness, rage, grief, queerness, hope, trauma, peace, redemption & love. Starting out as a drummer in experimental rock bands in the late 1990s, Ledoux went on to form the inclusive-improvisational (iNprov) outlet 'the le duo' in 2007, as well as the solo percussion/electronics project 'Jo Bled' in 2018. Ledoux transitioned away from the Jo Bled moniker in 2025. The Wire said Ledoux's music "equally resembles a garbage truck compacting metal trash in a pre-dawn alley, and a gamelan orchestra heard through a malfunctioning walkie talkie."
