Formed in 2018 and comprised of Maya Sun Robedee-Molino (lead vocals, guitar, ukulele) and Rory Goodale (backup vocals, 12-string, tambo), The Champlain Shoregasm are a quirky, high-energy, folk/punk duet based in Burlington, VT ; the West Coast of New England.
Inspired by 60’s folk music and 80’s punk rock and shoegaze, the band’s original music includes upbeat crowd favorites Trans Aliens, As the World Comes Apart, and Queen Bee, as well as moody alt ballads such as Flowers for Lorelai.
Covers include an original rearrangements of artists including Radio Head, The Cure, Mazzy Star, The Violent Femmes, Amanda Palmer, and Robyn Hitchcock.
The Champlain Shoregasm can be found playing the Lake Champlain waterfront, as well as gigs and open-mic nights at venues in the New England area and beyond.
