XEN Miles

  • Big Heavy World 4 Howard Street, #A8 Burlington, VT, 05401 United States (map)

Xen is a 24 year old nonbinary singer song writer born and raised in Vermont.  Their singing journey started with singing for friends, family, and teachers. Their first audience was at a school assembly where they sang the national anthem. They went on to sing the anthem for different sports games, getting used to singing in front of strangers.  From there they started singing in talent competitions like "Colchester's got talent", winning first place one year. They did chorus at school and would have solos at concerts. They performed in musicals the schools would put on.

After high school they did their first full set at Vermont Pub and Brewery backed by a band. A friend who went to the show had been previously married to Emmy winning producer Malcolm Francis aka Popular Beat Combo. A couple years after that show, Xen's friend connected the two and that's when the album started. Malcolm believed in Xen and they went on to create 5 songs together. Once finished, Xen performed their EP at a release party with a band they formed with the help of Malcolm. Xen's songs have  been picked up by local stations. Xen hopes to play live gigs regularly and build a following. Xen's dream is to do music full time.
