Bella & The Notables is a local jazz band incorporating a twist of swing, scat, R&B, blues, and soul. The lead singer Isabella/Bella Sances is accompanied by The Notables made up of Sam Atallah on piano, Greg Rothwell on upright bass, and Andrew Bedard on drums. This group is energetic and vibrant in its tone and improvisations. They hold a monthly residency at The 126 jazz club.

Bella is a local jazz singer that hails from Milwaukee and East Montpelier. She majored in Music/Jazz Studies and Italian at UVM and has since fronted the Notables. She is currently studying for her master's in clinical counseling and music therapy and works with children on the autism spectrum. Singing and songwriting since she could speak, Bella has a natural ear for vocal improvisation and scat with her smooth and soulful tone. She still writes her own songs. Sam is a Vermont-based pianist and trumpeter. Since graduating from UVM in 2020 with a Jazz Studies degree, he has immersed himself in the local music scene, playing with bands such as The Reflexions and Avery Cooper. Greg is a local bassist and composer who leads The Discussions and the Greg Rothwell Swungtet. Andrew is a local drummer, and leads Mob Barber and is in several rock bands including The Rough Suspects.
