A singer-songwriter from Vermont's dirty south, Dylan Patrick Ward writes darkly comical, highly specific and nicely melodic songs about outsiders, oddballs, aliens, snowmen and love. Though his subject matter can be bleak, beneath the surface is a beating heart of empathy and hope. Starting in early 2020, Dylan has self-released a slew of lofi records inspired by diy legends like the Mountain Goats and Daniel Johnston. His potent blend of humor and heart has also drawn comparisons to John Prine and Loudon Wainwright iii.
He runs the Dirty South Songwriters Circle at Flat Iron Cooperative in Bellows Falls, a monthly showcase of obscure, eccentric local singer-songwriters. He’s also opened for national touring acts like Peter Mulvey and The End of America (TEOA).
