Late Nite Sneaky Uncle has been through varied permutations since the moniker emerged from the void somewhere around 2003. The current members affixed to the dubious identity are Geoff Chanon Bernstein (aka>Chanon Geoff Bernstein), Spike (aka>Mike Hendrickson), Peter Banditer (aka>Peter Danforth), Heather Elektra Menses (aka>Anne-Marie Costa), and W. (aka>Jamie Williamson). In spare hours, Geoff also pursues an electronic music project (which, after facelift and lobotomy, the other members of LNSU have contributed to). Spike is the meistermind behind DIRTWOR (which, before the previous facelift and lobotomy, has included, in descending order of significance, H.E.M., P.B., and W.). Geoff and P.B. also perform with Soulstice.
All of the members of LNSU have some white hair, damaged hearing, and (some think) well disguised dementia; four have children, two adult children. Therefore the bio stretches back to ancient times. W. arrived in Burlington in 1982 and played with Astronauts in Grave Peril in the days of Pinhead and the original Wards lineup. After a few years of solo acoustic shows, he began working with H.E.M in 1991, leading to the formation of the short-lived P.Y.G. Roast in 1992. The two continued working together after the P.Y.G.’s demise the next year, and when Cranial Perch was formed in 1994, P.B. joined. After CP decomposed in 1998, P.B., H.E.M., and W. continued working together until P.B. left town. This should be underlined: P.B. left town. (In other words, it was all his fault.) H.E.M. and W. soldiered on, playing the first performance of Late Nite Sneaky Uncle, with Dr. Aesthesia Callahan, in 2003. LNSU promptly resolved into its constituent chemicals until it returned to life in 2011. Spike joined at this point (after being threatened by W. during a break at a Dirtwor show at Nectars), and Dr. Doomsday. P.B. played a show without rehearsing. (He can do that kind of thing.) P.B. returned to town, and, in 2017, he lured G.C. into joining, and, fully membered, LNSU has been intermittently playing since. There is no documentation to prove or disprove any of this.
