Danny LeFrancois of the indie-rock band, Danny & The Parts, came down to Rocket Shop on Wednesday, March 20th. Danny’s music career began as a young boy, when he was known as “the guy that was always covering Phish.” In 2004, he formed the band, “The Parts” which later became Danny & The Parts as it is known now. However, lately Danny has been experimenting as a solo artist. The songs he is working on now are more “simple” and “feel good” rather than the free form music he was used to playing with the band. Danny claims that his music gets right “to the point” while his lyrics are a bit more abstract.
Danny does not write music in the traditional in-studio way. He feels most compelled to write music while “sitting around the house” surrounded by his family, and strumming his daughter’s guitar.
