'Making Spaces Safer' Author Talk & Community Discussion with Shawna Potter, Feb. 18
Big Heavy World, the Fletcher Free Library, and the Vermont Department of Libraries invite you to read ’Making Spaces Safer’ a handbook that empowers people of any age to be helpful in the face of public harassment that is gender or LGBTQ-related. Author Shawna Potter sings in the Baltimore punk band War On Women and put years of experience and advocacy into ‘Making Spaces Safer’ to help us make the world a little better with this knowledge. Thirty copies are available to borrow through the Fletcher Free Library and Potter will host a book discussion there on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 7pm. The books will circulate in Vermont libraries through 2020 and beyond. See https://bigheavyworld.com/latest-news/2019/10/25/making-spaces-safer for more information. This project is made possible with support from the allies that shared this message with you and Northfield Savings Bank, Advance Music, The Willard Street Inn, Main Street Landing, and The Path.
