#HEARVT Extended into December!

November may have been Local Music Month in Vermont, but there’s no reason not to celebrate and support local musicians year-round. That’s why we are excited to share that #HEARVT has been extended into December. Local music is the perfect holiday gift both for your friends and for your community. This winter, help give back by giving!

#HEARVT is a Vermont local music initiative designed to encourage support for Vermont creatives. Anyone who buys local music or merchandise (like a band t-shirt) at a shop or from Vermont bands online while this promotion is active can post about it on social media with the hashtag #HEARVT for a chance to win one of five Golden Ticket packages that combine a $100 gift certificate to Higher Ground with a night’s lodging at Hotel Vermont. Higher Ground is an all-ages independent live music and comedy venue located in South Burlington. Hotel Vermont is located in Burlington and was named by Thrillist as the best boutique hotel in the state.

The bands that are mentioned on social media with the #HEARVT hashtag — bands whose music and merch are purchased — are in the running for a drawing that could bring them $400 worth of screenprinting at Calamity & Crowe’s Trading Post in Fletcher, known also for their custom tie-dyeing. Everyone is welcome to promote local music in November, and always!
