This summer, the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont are inviting 9th-11th grade students to immerse themselves in the topic of their choice, and to experience life on a college campus. GIV has eleven summer Institutes, but one that specifically stuck out to us over at Big Heavy World is the Governor’s Institute of the Arts. Through this program, students will have the opportunity to explore music, dance, writing, theater, painting, sculpture or film, and to gain professional skills for a potential career in the arts. This program will be held at Castleton University from June 23- July 7 and it has a sliding scale tuition, making it affordable for everyone. Applications close throughout March, so apply now at
