Photos: Burlington & Chattanooga Jam Via Internet2

Photos by James Lockridge.

Musicians in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Burlington, Vermont jammed together across the continent thanks to Burlington Telecom, Fletcher Free Library, The Chattanooga Public Library, Big Heavy World, Hohner, and Advance Music. In Burlington we performed upstairs in the Fletcher Free Library, where Eric Hill of Burlington Telecom engineered an ultra-fast specialized network connection with the Chattanooga Public Library. The special network and 'LOLA' hardware and software made it possible for musicians to perform with each other, feeling as though they were in the same room with one another.
