intro

From our small city to the great big world, these are the Sounds Of Burlington. It finally snowed and got a little cold, but my heart is nice and warm after seeing Bernie Sanders do so well in New Hampshire this week. He has inspired a lot of people, including several of our wonderful local musicians. Recently, several of them got together to record one of the songs Bernie recorded for his album, so many years ago. Tonight let’s begin with Kat WrightBob WagnerMarie Claire JohnsonKelly Ravin, and many others doing a classic in honor of Bernie.

1.) This Land Is Your Land – VT artists 2.) Oh Freedom – Bernie Sanders and 30 VT Artists 3.) The Original Original – Black Rabbit

That is the next song on their wonderful album Red Flannel Hash. I’m working my way through that album song by song, week by week. Original is such a fun rocker. I had to go back and play one of the Bernie classics and put it back to back with the new Bernie classic. Just listening to the performances, we are truly blessed in Burlington, and have been for a long time. You can just feel the love flowing out of Land. OK, for the rest of the show tonight we are going to rock out. I just got a copy of the 8th WBKM birthday party show that Seth Yacovone played for us at Nectar’s on November 12, 2015. They called themselves Real Old & Insane Donkey and played all Neil Young songs, Here it is in its entirety.

4.) Hey Hey My My 5.) Powderfinger 6.) Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere 7.) Down By The River 8.) Sedan Delivery 9.) Barstool Blues 10.) Cortez The Killer 11.) Piece Of Crap 12.) Fuckin’ Up 13.) Cinnamon Girl 14.) Cowgirl In The Sand 15.) Rocking In The Free World 16.) Like A Hurricane

I hope you enjoyed checking out the music of our town. Let’s do it again next week, shall we? Ta ta.

17.) Sayonara – Black Rabbit outro
