I just got back from my 49th local music radio show on internet only WBKM.ORG. I highlighted a lot of the amazing amount of music that is happening this weekend.

From our small city to the great big world, these are the sounds of Burlington. It’s cold and snowy the deepest part of winter. A lot of us are asking What’s in California? This is Joshua Glass on WBKM, and this is Burlington’s kind of music.

VU played Radio Bean last weekend. I missed them when I was at Higher Ground for Lotus Land, with my brother Ken and Elephants of Scotland and Mike Wilhide. Tomorrow at the Bean a bunch of people are playing Leonard Cohen Songs. Whatever life throws at Sarah, she keeps plugging away. Since I was on the west coast anyway, I though I’d toss in the Satori song. Tomorrow is the full moon, and there is rock at The Monkey House, and tonight Kat Wright & The Indomitable Soul Band are playing at the Bean and Spiritual Res are playing Nectar’s, and on Saturday is The Wee Folkestra at the Bean and ROUGH FRANCIS are filming a video. So, tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. What do you consider sexy? A nice face and a nice body? For me, an alert working mind that appreciates people and art and science is sexy.

That was such a fun Pinhead song, and fit in well with the Wave song. I’ve seen Rue a couple of times at the Winter Is A Drag Ball at Higher Ground (both rooms), and they are playing again this year. The Dirty Blondes rocked it a couple of times, and I was impressed by Rue. Some of their music is all electronic dance beat, but some songs have lots of nice drama. Next up is the next song from Maximum Soul Power. Coincidentally, the video they are shooting on Saturday is this song.

The last four bands are playing an anti Valentine’s rock show at the Monkey House tomorrow. I will be there. Wolvings are playing too and it should really rock. If that were not enough, Elephants Of Scotland have a new album coming out soon and they are playing at Nectar’s on Monday.
