I just got back from my local music radio show on internet only WBKM.ORG. I walked in and the ’80’s Ladies were wrapping up. I loaded in some music and started the show.

intro
From our small city to the great big world, these are the Sounds Of Burlington. Last Saturday, a band from Portland Maine stopped by to rock The Monkey House. I bought their new EP, EGO, and all five songs are great. Let’s begin with a band called When Particles Collide and a song called Finally Found The One on WBKM, and this is Burlington’s kind of music.
1.) Finally Found The One – When Particles Collide 2.) Chester Allen – The World Famous Hanglows 3.) Space Opera – Aram Bedrosian 4.) Our Work Is Never Done – PossumHaw
I was at the studio earlier today and received a package with the new album from PossumHaw. Our Work had a nice bass to start, and great lyrics, and I thought it would sound good coming out of Aram’s bass song. I ran into him lat week at the Monkey and he is doing a lot of teaching and working on a new album. I love that song by the Hanglows who played around town for a couple of years. I love all of the WPC disc!! Last week I played the last song from Alice Austin‘s To A Star In The Yard. Tonight I need to start a new album to work my way through, week by week. We are going to rock hard for a while, since I have chosen Maximum Soul Power by ROUGH FRANCIS.
5.) Ruffians – Rough Francis 6.) Neutrino – Black Rabbit 7.) I Hear Things Are Just As Bad Down In Lake Champlain – Gorgon 8.) The Tradeoff in Vermont – Lindy Pear
Nice song from Lindy. In winter, Vermont can be a bit of a bear, but in spring, summer and fall in can be amazing. I’m OK with the tradeoff. That burst of noise is new from Gorgon who have risen from the ashes of Doll Fight. Apparently they are going the heavy rocking route! Great song from Rabbit about Papa Neutrino, who inspired a lot of people. Rough Francis Rock! Next up, let’s play with a VT classic.
9.) Golgi Apparatus – The Pants 10.) Be A Good Citizen (NYC mix) – Pinhead 11.) Late ’80’s Ladies – Helicopter Consortium
It will be fun to see WBKM’s ’80’s Ladies every week. The Helicopter song is about people at music shows for the scene, and that’s fine, as long as you don’t annoy the people who are there for the music. Our ’80’s Ladies care about our listeners! The Pants do a great cover of the Phish song, even if they are not so sure. Citizen is a classic and encourages you to brush your teeth every day.
12.) Teeth Or Pedal – Phil Yates and the Affiliates 13.) Perfect Teeth – When Particles Collide 14.) Teeth – Wolvings
Wolvings played a great version of that a couple of weeks ago at the Monkey House birthday party. Phil and WPC played great versions of those songs last Saturday at the Monkey. Speaking of going out. I’m heading to see Wave of the Future at Manhattan Pizza. They don’t have anything recorded, but I ripped the MP3 from their Youtube video. I’ll be rocking to this soon!
15.) One Point Twenty-One Giga Jiga Watts – Wave Of The Futrue
