Boston-native group Ernie and the Automatics will play February 18th, 2011. This special event will benefit Big Heavy and  is presented by 106.7WIZN as their first ever "Wizard Night." Tickets are $1.06 and available now at WIZN's website: http://www.wizn.com. Doors open at 8 P.M. and music will begin at 8:30 PM.

Ernie and the Automatics are a rowdy act with classic rock n' roll style. The high-energy group features two former members of the band Boston, Barry Goudreau on guitar and Sib Hashian on drums. Combined with Brian Maes and Time Archibald, (both of Peter Wolf's House Party Five) and sax icon Michael "Tunes" Antunes,  Ernie and the Automatics will put on an excellent gig you should not pass up. Their blues-powered, R&B-infused take on rock n' roll represent a proud part of Beantown's musical glory. For more information on the band, downloads, photos and more, visit their website at http://www.ernieandtheautomatics.com/

Big Heavy World is incredibly grateful to benefit from the 2/18 gig at Higher Ground. The event also correlates with Ernie Boch Jr.'s Music Drives Us Foundation. Established to support music in New England, Music Drives Us strives to "seek out organizations and individuals that are interested in using music as a tool for all segments of society and for all age groups." Big Heavy World works to do the same by supporting Vermont-based musicians. Clearly these like-minded groups are doing right by putting on great acts and keeping the music coming!

Come see Ernie and the Automatics play an awesome show and support Big Heavy World on February 18th at Higher Ground!
