Swale At The Monkey House January 8, 2010
Words by Tim Lewis.
It was perfect. I was out at 8:30 and the show was at 9. I caught a ride to Winooski and settled in at the bar as the room slowly began to fill. Soon enough they took the stage and slid into the set. The first three songs were good but there was a clicking going through the sound system that was a bit unsettling. After the third song the sound man came up and searched around a bit and eventually made it go away. Things picked up in the middle of the set with a Pumpkins cover tossed in for fun. Their set was short and sweet and as they approached the end the unleashed a gorgeous version of Lost then ramped up the energy with an unknown cover to close the set. If the beginning was a bit rough they had won the night by the end.
