VT Jukebox Project Gets Giant Nano Update (Wut?)

jukeboxupgrade Big Heavy World's Vermont Jukebox Project will be getting an upgrade this happy season! Since 2005 we've worked with Vermont's Department of Buildings & General Services and the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce to put digitized Vermont-made music into the state's Visitor Information Centers (our 'Welcome Centers' on the Interstate highways). Thousands of Vermont songs are reaching the ears of more than 3,000,000 travelers each year through the project, and it's only getting better: Three installations are being improved as we replace the desktop computer system that plays the music with iPod Nanos, shrinking the hardware needed to play up to sixteen Gigabytes of home-grown Green Mountain music. The upgrade is made possible with support from Northfield Savings Bank and Small Dog Electronics.

Vermont artists with inventory in the Vermont Music Library & Shop at VMLS.org are welcome to seek consideration. Contact info@vmls.org to get involved!
