CREW JOB: Collections Assessment & Planning Coordinator

Big Heavy World is seeking a cultural preservation specialist/ethnomusicologist with way too much free time on hand and the bug for helping maintain a historical record of Vermont's musical arts: The Vermont Music Library has several incredible, unique collections of Vermont-made music and related photography and show posters. Our ambition is to maintain the collection and its meta data to high industry standards, and must have the care of the collection assessed in order to make improvements or raise funds to improve our archive facility. We also anticipate creating strategic plans for disaster recovery, interpretation (presentation), and long-term sustainability.

Help coordinate all of these activities, identifying sources of support (expertise and funding) and making headway with great independence.
